Chris Booth
Managing Director

Chris Booth started his working life as a management/marketing cadet for a US multi-national materials handling company in London. On completion became a Technical / Marketing Trainer and finally New Product Development Coordinator for Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and South America carrying out critical path analysis for downstream new product releases and technical evaluations.

Following capital equipment sales and marketing experience, Chris immigrated to Australia and became State and then National Manager for a public company also involved in materials handling and associated products. A complete career change resulted in becoming the Managing Director and shareholder of a new business in HVAC. Over the next 25 years the company expanded throughout Australia and the UK in specialised HVAC equipment hire and the sales distribution of HVAC products for a number of European manufacturers. Chris has a strong knowledge of the HVAC industry with considerable experience in the importing and product distribution business.

In 2008 a new business was started representing European manufactures of air to water heat pumps, heat recovery systems, swimming pool control systems, commercial, industrial dehumidification and geothermal products. This business involves importing and distribution to an agency network and providing design, technical and commercial assistance to that network.

Chris is a member of the Australian Institute of Energy, The Alternative Technology Association, Habitat for Humanity and Rotary International.

Justin McFarlane
Director - Chief Executive Officer

Justin has been working with direct geoexchange technology for five years being a founder and CEO of Direct Energy. Prior to this he has implemented environmentally friendly refrigerants and refrigerant oils throughout S.E. Asia, ran LandCare Australia and consulted widely on environmental issues and change management.

He is a member of the Australian Standards Committee for Geothermal Heat Pumps. Through this process he will assist in establishing a Quality Program alongside the regulatory based standards platform.

Trained as a microbiologist & biochemist at LaTrobe University, Justin has an extensive background & interest in sustainability and the environment.

He also has an extensive career as an elite sports athlete including membership of the Australian Ski Team in biathalon & cross-country skiing.

Stan Wassylko
Director - Future Developments

Stan Wassylko has worked in the construction, resource and maritime industries for over 30 years. During this time he has served on the Boards of public and private companies in Singapore and Malaysia as well as many private companies in Australia. Stan spent over 10 years working and living in Singapore as resident director and manager of several foreign owned companies predominately operating in the maritime and construction industries and remains on the board of Stena Drilling [Australia] Pty Ltd [ www.stena-drilling.com] as well as several resource companies in Australia. Stan brings to Barclays a wealth of experience and access to an excellent overseas network of contacts.

Terry Carmichael - Affiliate
Past Chairman

Mr Terry Carmichael has in excess of forty years’ experience in the design, construction, management and operation of major mining, infrastructure and engineering projects in Australia and Asia, including mine development, townships, airports, and road, rail and wharf developments. He has held significant roles in a number of major engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) projects in the infrastructure, industrial, mining and minerals sectors.

Mr. Carmichael was the founding Director of Crescent PSS, a highly successful Project Management Company, acquired by Hyder consulting in 2009. Major projects undertaken by Crescent during Terry’s tenure as Managing Director include the Ovacik Gold Project in Turkey, the Gosowong Gold Project in Indonesia, the Waihi Gold Project Expansion in New Zealand, the Paradip Port Coal Terminal for the Asian Development Bank in India, the Ridgeway Gold Poject in Orange, NSW, the Gladstone Port Expansion Project (R. G. Tanna), the Telfer Gold Project in WA, and major studies for BHP Billiton‘s Olympic Dam Project. He currently holds the part time position of Technical Director with Hyder Consulting, and is a Director of Timika Development, Eastform, Dumenil Modular, and Barclays Resources.

Dr Adrian Williams - Affiliate
Past Director

Dr Adrian Williams is Geodynamic's CEO and is an engineer with broad experience in energy and technology. As a consultant based in London, and then as Chief Engineer Geomechanics for the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation, he has worked on large energy and infrastructure projects in Algeria, throughout Asia and Australia. He led the development of the Australian Petroleum Cooperative Research Centre, one of Australia's first CRCs, and with CSIRO, was the foundation chief of its Petroleum Resources Division and then Chief of its Energy Technology Division. He has been committed to the development of Australia's hot rock geothermal energy over the last eight years, including the winning of tenements in the Cooper Basin for Geodynamics.

Grant Ferguson - Affiliate
Past Director

Mr. Grant Ferguson has worked as senior and executive management in international mining operations and renewable energy projects. Mr. Ferguson has experience as Managing Director of an ASX listed, South African based Gold & Uranium Exploration and Mining Company. Grant’s role included membership of Remuneration and Nomination, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. Further experience includes international and domestic mining in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

Grant has fulfilled numerous consultancy roles across manganese, base metals, gold, uranium and coal on projects across Africa, Asia Australia and Americas. Other positions held include senior position in a renewable energy wind turbine manufacturer, responsible for project development, commercial negotiations through to contract execution. Mr. Ferguson led a team in the successful execution of >AUD400 million in wind farm projects in Australia and New Zealand. Grant is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM), Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG) and Member of the Australian Institute of company Directors (MAICD).
